The BTCC moves to Croft in North East Yorkshire in just under two weeks time for Rounds 13, 14 and 15 of the championship.
The circuit plays host to its traditional yearly visit from the touring cars in early June. The circuit near Darlington offers spectators wide views of the circuit, with large areas of the venue open to spectators, from Clervaux to Tower Bend at the beginning of the lap and the section from Sunny Out to the Complex at the end of the lap.
There will be plenty of support for local team Robertshaw Racing, who are based in Boldon Colliery near Newcastle. The team’s driver Harry Vaulkhard will be hoping for a strong showing at his most local circuit, and will also be taking part in the HiQ fans forum with team-mate Alan Taylor and Martyn Bell. The event, taking place at HiQ’s Meynell Road in Darlington next Tuesday 29th May from 6:30-8:30pm, offers fans a chance to get close to the drivers and cars with an exciting, friendly atmosphere all evening.
SEAT’s Jason Plato also enjoys strong support from the local crowd, having grown up in Newcastle in the North East. He will be looking to continue closing the gap to series-leader Fabrizio Giovanardi, having taken his second win of the season last time out at Thruxton.
