Tempus Sport, one of the new teams to join the ‘09 BTCC, will race only one Chevrolet Lacetti this weekend at Brands Hatch.
The team will only have driver Harry Vaulkhard competing at the Kent circuit as they struggle to fill the second seat available in the team. Tempus have entered two ex-WTCC Lacetti’s for this year’s championship and despite discussions with several drivers are still unable to confirm a team-mate for Vaulkhard.
“We were hoping to have a second car out at Brands but unfortunately that hasn’t quite come together yet,” team director Richard Coleman told autosport.com. “However, we’re working on several options to have a second car out later in the year.”
The team have been involved in talks with several high-profile names in touring cars including James Thompson, who tested for the team during the winter, and Jason Plato. 23-year-old SEAT Eurocup racer James Nash has also been linked to a drive with the team.
