James Nash has had his maiden BTCC win taken away from him by race stewards, after it was deemed that he was to blame for spinning Rob Collard out of the race. On the approach to the bomb hole, Nash tapped the rear of the Airwaves BMW and sent Collard spinning across the track. Stephen Jelley was unable to avoid his car and made heavy contact, which would later result in Collard being admitted to hospital for a precautionary scan.
Nash’s exclusion means that Colin Turkington inherits the win, his sixth of the season, with Fabrizio Giovanardi in second and Matt Neal third.
