Dan Eaves makes a much anticipated return to the British Touring Car Championship for 2009, racing for the environmentally-friendly Team Cylde Valley Racing outfit. Eaves has spent three season out of the championship since last competing in 2005, and would have returned sooner if Team CVR had been able to secure sponsorship for the 2007 season as originally planned. Eaves will spearhead the teams season, with Adam Jones as team-mate, and will be hopeful of returning to the winners circle once again. | ||||

| Eaves' best season in the BTCC came in 2005 when he partnered Matt Neal at Team Halfords in the first of the team's championship winning years. Eaves played a supporting role to Neal for much of the season, although briefly held the championship lead in the early stages when he also became the first (and to-date only) driver to win all three races at a meeting. He ended the year a respectable 3rd overall and only four points off second place, but was replaced by Gordon Shedden for the following season. |
