ALTHOUGH Robertshaw Racing only made its BTCC debut at Knockhill last year, the team has no shortage of racing experience. Experience has come from competing in karting, the Mini Challenge, the highly competitive Renault Clio Cup, Single Seater Racing, Sports cars and of course the BTCC. The team is the only current outfit originating from the North East of England, and is based in Newcastle. As such, the team's drivers include Harry Vaulkhard and alan Taylor who also originate from the Tyne and Wear region. | |||

| The team's decision to campaign the 2008 season with a brace of ex-works WTCC Chevrolet Lacetti's marks the first time since the early 1970's that an American manufacturer has been represented on the BTCC grid. The team and drivers are all looking forward to developing the Chevrolet throughout the 2008 season, receiving limited suport from the works WTCC team. Indeed they took part in a test in December 2007 to gauge their performance agsint those of the WTCC cars and will be hoping to get close to challenging for top positions towards the end of the 2008 season. |
